Vaginal Reconstruction Surgery

Improves vaginal laxity caused by childbirth or aging, restoring vaginal structure and function.

Vaginal reconstruction surgery (Vaginoplasty / Posterior Colporrhaphy) addresses posterior vaginal wall laxity and a widened vaginal opening caused by vaginal birth or aging. By repairing the vaginal mucosa and pelvic floor muscle layers, it restores the structural firmness of the vagina.

Many women feel vaginal laxity and a decline in sexual satisfaction after childbirth. Radiofrequency treatments can partly improve this, but if the laxity is more pronounced, surgery can provide more direct and lasting results.

When It's Suitable

Marked posterior vaginal wall laxity after vaginal birth
Non-surgical treatment (EMFEMME radiofrequency) has not been effective enough
A vaginal opening that is too loose and affects sexual satisfaction
Coexisting pelvic organ prolapse that needs to be treated at the same time

About the Surgery

The surgery is performed under anesthesia, repairing the lax vaginal mucosa and levator ani muscle layer to tighten the vaginal opening and posterior wall. It can be performed together with pelvic prolapse repair surgery if needed.

Operating time depends on the extent of the repair. The incisions are inside the vagina, leaving no visible external scar.

Recovery After Surgery

After surgery, you need to avoid sexual activity for about 6–8 weeks and keep bowel movements regular to avoid tension on the wound. Your doctor will provide detailed post-operative instructions and follow-up.
