Hysteroscopic Laser Myomectomy
Laser removal of submucosal fibroids, with good control of bleeding and flexible cutting angles, lowering the risk of post-operative adhesions.
Hysteroscopic laser surgery uses laser energy instead of traditional electrocautery to remove submucosal fibroids and other intrauterine lesions under direct hysteroscopic view.
Laser energy can be precisely controlled, provides good control of bleeding, and allows cutting from more angles, reducing the risk of post-operative adhesions.
How It Differs from Traditional Electrocautery
Although traditional hysteroscopic electrocautery is widely used, the heat from electrical energy spreads over a larger area of surrounding tissue. Laser energy is more concentrated, so damage to the surrounding endometrium is comparatively lower.
When It's Suitable
Submucosal fibroids (Type 0, Type 1, and some Type 2)
Uterine cavity polyps
Lesions that require more complex cutting angles
Key Features
No abdominal incision; the hysteroscope is inserted through the vagina
Good control of bleeding and a clear surgical view
