One-Stop Hysteroscopic Cold-Knife Surgery
Diagnosis and treatment in the same procedure: problems are treated as soon as they are found, with no need to schedule a second surgery.
One-stop hysteroscopic cold-knife surgery means completing diagnosis and treatment in the same procedure.
In the traditional process, a diagnostic hysteroscopy is usually done first, and once polyps or lesions are confirmed, a separate surgery is scheduled to remove them. This requires two trips to the operating room and two rounds of anesthesia, adding to the patient's time and physical burden.
Advantages of the One-Stop Approach
When It's Suitable
Suitable for women whose pre-operative imaging or clinical evaluation strongly suggests an intrauterine lesion (such as polyps or small submucosal fibroids), with hysteroscopic examination and removal completed together under anesthesia.
Important Notes
Not every case is suitable for one-stop treatment. If the lesion is complex or large, or if further pathological confirmation is needed before deciding on treatment, it may still need to be done in two stages. This will be confirmed at your pre-operative consultation.
